Statement
“One cannot help but be in awe when one contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality.” – Albert Einstein
I create artwork that investigates the nature of reality and mystical dimensions that exist beyond our awareness and understanding. Throughout my art career, I have been exploring the spiritual realms of the unknown and capturing feelings of awe and wonder inspired by the beautifully complex world around us. I reimagine the traditions of trompe l’oeil painting in my expansive, site-specific installations. Using acrylic paint on Duralar and painting directly on gallery walls, I craft the illusion of portals leading into transcendental realms. Organic elements emerge from those spheres morphing two-dimensional paintings into three-dimensional forms.
In these installations, gallery walls are transformed into thresholds between different states of existence, bridging the gap between the visible and the invisible, between this physical plane we inhabit and metaphysical planes beyond our grasp. Guided by a fascination with numbers and mathematical precision, I delve into the profound interconnectedness of our universe, infusing my work with symbols of sacred geometry, the feminine and family. For many of us, there is an ever-present urge for transcendence, to go beyond the mundane and experience the sublime. I create these works with the hope of inspiring viewers to think about the essence of what we experience as reality and the possibilities of what may exist beyond our current understanding.
